Welcome to Holy Angels Catholic Church

We are a welcoming Catholic community called by God to live out the message of Christ in love and service to all people. We offer many ministries in which our parishioners are afforded the opportunity to participate in numerous spiritual as well as social activities rich in Laotian and Hispanic Catholic traditions. These ministries support many of our parishioners on their journey in making their lives as Catholics more meaningful.

Announcements:

Classes. Last week, we had to postpone the resumption of Religious Education classes. Classes will resume as soon as possible. We are sorry for the inconvenience and confusion caused by these changes. For more information, please call the Religious Education Office, 405.231.1935.

Vacation. Fr. Rusty is on vacation until 28 January. While Fr. Rusty is away, we will not have daily Masses (Mon-Fri), but our weekends' worship services will remain. If there is a pastoral emergency, please contact Parish Office, who will put you in touch with the covering Holy Angels clergy.

Cross Catholic Outreach.  This weekend we are blessed to be hosting Fr. Robert “Bob” Nee, representing Cross Catholic Outreach. This official Catholic ministry was founded to link parishes in the U.S. with priests, religious brothers and sisters, and lay people working in Church missions overseas. Its programs span the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and Central and South America. Please be generous in your response to his appeal. Please be sure to say “hi” after Mass. Brochures with donation envelopes will be available if you wish to support this worthy Catholic ministry. For more information on Cross Catholic Outreach, please go to www.CrossCatholic.org/outreach, or text BLESSINGS to 474747.

Religious Articles.  We have many religious items for sale, including First Communion candles ($15). For more information, call or stop by the Religious Education office, 405.231.1935.

Prayer and Life Workshop (Spanish). What are the Prayer and Life Workshops? The Prayer and Life Workshops are a new form of EVANGELIZATION. More ALIVE and with a more positive vision than what has always been shown. It is a more vibrant and active presentation of JESUS that has a greater ADAPTATION to the needs of the CURRENT SOCIETY and what people really need. There are 15 sessions (one per week) starting on Monday, February 7. Note: there is an optional $14 charge to cover the cost of the workshop’s materials.

Quinceañeras. We have noticed an increase in the number of people requesting Quinceañera Masses for young women who do not practice the Catholic faith. The quinceañera Mass is a religious event; it is not social. For this reason, this event is reserved for young women who actively practice their faith. For more information, contact the parish office, 405.232.6572.

Weddings. Please get in touch with the priest six months before your wedding date. The date will not be scheduled until after couples have met with the clergy.
