Welcome to Holy Angels Catholic Church

We are a welcoming Catholic community called by God to live out the message of Christ in love and service to all people. We offer many ministries in which our parishioners are afforded the opportunity to participate in numerous spiritual as well as social activities rich in Laotian and Hispanic Catholic traditions. These ministries support many of our parishioners on their journey in making their lives as Catholics more meaningful.

Announcements:

Thanksgiving break begins this week. During the break:

  1. The parish offices will be closed beginning at 1 pm on Monday thru Sunday, the 29th of November.
  2. We will not have Religious Education (RE) classes from Wednesday thru Tuesday, the 1st of December.
  3. Thanksgiving Mass will be on Wednesday, the 25th of November, at 7:00 pm.
  4. We will not have the 8:30 am Mass on Wednesday and Thursday.

Remembering Our Loved Ones. November is the season the Church has set aside to remember our loved ones who have died this year. The Book of the Dead is available to record your loved ones’ names and receive additional prayers from all parishioners and at all Masses.

Flocknote. We are implementing Flocknote, an application that will allow us to reach all our members with the latest news and updates through their phones (text messages). We will start first with the families registered in our religious education program and will eventually include all the families in our parish. For Flocknote to be an effective method of communication, we ask that you kindly keep your telephonic contact information up to date. To signup, go to holyangelsokc.flocknote.com or call the Parish Office.

Facebook. The latest bad weather events highlight the importance of using Facebook as a mechanism to stay informed about the latest news and updates of the Parish.  Follow us on Facebook (holyangelsokc).

New Religious Education Hours. Starting Wednesday, 19 August 2020, the RE Office will have new office hours.  They will be opened on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Saturdays from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.  For any religious education questions, please call the Religious Education office – (405) 231-1935.

Volunteers Needed. Volunteers needed for Saturdays’ 5:30 pm Mass choir. Please consider giving your time and talent to this ministry as music adds so much to Liturgy. If you are interested in joining or have questions, please contact the Parish Office or see Sergio Vera in the choir area after the 5:30 pm Mass.

Parish Office American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Entrance. The south entrance to the Parish Office is now handicap-accessible and more convenient to families with strollers.

Religious Artifacts. Many of you may not be aware that we have religious artifacts for sale at the parish Religious Education Office. We have bibles, rosaries, statues & more. Celebrate life's precious moments with great Catholic gifts that strengthen faith and inspire virtue. Store hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Saturdays from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm.

Trash. Please remove your trash from the pew. Just as you would not leave behind food/crumbs (bread, cereal, donuts), papers (candy wrappers), or used diapers or tissues on your sofa, please do not do this at the church. Please be respectful and pick up after yourself.

Hope House.  Hope House needs cereal, Mac & Cheese, sugar, cooking oil, rice & canned goods such as vegetables, chickpeas, potatoes, tuna, & soups. Thank you!

Rehearsals. Weddings and quinceañeras rehearsals are on Mondays, at the church, at 6 pm 2 weeks prior to the event. Please call Mrs. Margarita Hernandez at (405) 942-2633 to coordinate your rehearsal.

Documents. We won’t be accepting over the phone local request for documents (sacramental documentation, permission or recommendation letters, etc.) due to the high number of requested, but still unclaimed, documents. We are sorry for the inconvenience, if any, of this new policy.

Pledge Payment Sunday. To make it easier for families to keep up with their pledge payments, we will designate the 2nd Sunday of each month as PLEDGE PAYMENT SUNDAY for the One Church, Many Disciples campaign. Beginning in July, bring your payment envelope to Mass and place it in the box that will be located at the front of the church. Of course, if you prefer to mail in your payment, you may continue to do so. Additional envelopes will be available in the church for your convenience.

Church’s Envelopes. You should have already received Septembers/Octobers' Church envelopes. If you haven’t received them, call or stop by the Parish office.

  • Envelopes returned by the Postal Office are available at the Church’s foyer.
  • If you use the bilingual “Welcome” envelopes that are in the entrance of the church, please write your name and address as you are registered in the parish or your envelopes number.

Community Service. We need volunteers to lead or participate in community service projects such as - Hope House food baskets, Thanksgiving/Christmas food baskets, Carnival, improving and/or beautifying the Parrish, etc. If you are interested, call the Parrish office.

Lost and Found. If you have lost keys, telephones, or any other item at the parish, please call the Parish Office and claim the lost object. Thank you.

Bulletin. If you want to contribute or make changes to the weekly bulletin, call or stop by the parish office no later than 5 pm on Wednesdays.

The CCR Group meets on Tuesdays at 7 pm (except for the first Tuesday of the month that there is a Charismatic Prayer Assembly) at the church, and on the 2nd and last Monday of the month at the Parish Hall. United Families in Christ meets on the last Saturday of the month at 6:30 pm at the Parish's Hall.  Temporarily suspended due to the pandemic.

Quinceañeras. The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City has established new standards for quinceañeras’ Masses. To celebrate a quinceañeras’ Mass, it is mandatory for the quinceañera to have completed the sacraments of baptism, 1st Communion, and Confirmation (or be a confirmand).
