Welcome to Holy Angels Catholic Church

We are a welcoming Catholic community called by God to live out the message of Christ in love and service to all people. We offer many ministries in which our parishioners are afforded the opportunity to participate in numerous spiritual as well as social activities rich in Laotian and Hispanic Catholic traditions. These ministries support many of our parishioners on their journey in making their lives as Catholics more meaningful.

Closed. The Parish will be closed on Monday, the 4th of July, in celebration of Independence Day.

Meeting. We will have a meeting for members/volunteers of the following ministries: Lectors, Altar Servers, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, and Ushers on Thursday, July 7 at 7:00 pm in the church. For more information, contact Deacon Sergio Vera, at 405.875.2160.

Concert. The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City Catholic Charismatic Renewal group invites you to great praise & worship concert on Saturday, July 9, in the Sacred Heart Parish Gym. For more information, go to www.facebook.com/Oklahoma-City-Catholic-Charismatic-Renovation, or call 405.824.3828.

STL 2022.  During the Masses, we will announce when the next meetings for the 2022 Steubenville (STL) retreat will be.

Weekly Bulletin. There will be only one issue of the Holy Angels’ bulletin in July. The publication of the weekly bulletin will resume in August.

Food Sale. The Catholic Charismatic Renewal group will again delight us with the sale of gorditas and other delicacies on Sunday, July 24. We encourage you to support this event.

RE Enrollment. Registrations to our RE programs for the 2022-23 school year will begin on 21 June. We will only accept applications for the sacraments of 1st Communion (2nd thru 5th grade), Confirmation (6th grade), and for our Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) program. Limited space. Registrations are accepted Tuesdays thru Thursdays, at the Parish Office.

IMPORTANT. To be able to enroll in our courses, you must bring when you register the following documents (if you do not meet this requirement, you will NOT be allowed to register):

  • For 1st Communion – Parish’s envelope and baptismal certificate.
  • For Confirmation – Parish’s envelope, baptism, and 1st Communion certificates.
  • For RCIA – Parish envelope, birth certificate, or applicable* sacramental certificates.
  • Fees - $50 per student
  • *For more information, please call the Parish Office at 405.232.6572.

RE Office Summer Hours.  The Religious Education office will close for the summer on 30 May. During the summer, the Parish Office will perform all the RE Office functions.

Summertime Hours. Summer is the least busy period in this parish and is the best time for parish staff to go on retreats, vacation, and/or take time off to take care of other personal matters. For this reason, the parish staff is not always available. That is why we ask you to not wait until the last minute to request letters, certificates, and appointments with the pastor. Call and verify in advance that we will be able to provide the services or help that you want/need. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Parish Closure and Previously Scheduled Events. We want to assure and reiterate that we will honor all previously scheduled events (baptisms, weddings, quinceañeras, etc.); however, we will not be accepting any new commitments beyond October 2022. If you have any questions, please call the Parish Office.

Quinceañeras. We have noticed an increase in the number of people requesting Quinceañera Masses for young women who do not practice the Catholic faith. The quinceañera Mass is a religious event; it is not social. For this reason, this event is reserved for young women who actively practice their faith. For more information, contact the parish office at 405.232.6572.

Weddings. Please get in touch with the priest as soon as possible before your wedding date. The date will not be scheduled until after the couples have met with the clergy.

Jobs Box. Find the latest career opportunities in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City in the Jobs Box at archokc.org/jobs-box.

Parish Office American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Entrance. The south entrance to the Parish Office is now handicap-accessible and more convenient for families with strollers.

Rehearsals. Weddings and quinceañeras rehearsals are on Mondays, at the church, at 6 pm, 2 weeks before the event. Please call Mrs. Margarita Hernandez at (405) 942-2633 to coordinate your rehearsal.

Documents. We won’t be accepting over-the-phone local requests for documents (sacramental documentation, permission or recommendation letters, etc.) due to the high number of requested, but still unclaimed, documents. We are sorry for the inconvenience, if any, of this new policy.

Church’s Envelopes. You should have already received July's Church envelopes. Call or stop by the Parish office if you haven't received them.

  • Envelopes returned by the Postal Office are available at the Church’s foyer.
  • If you use the bilingual “Welcome” envelopes that are at the entrance of the church, please write your name and address as you are registered in the parish or your envelope number.

Community Service. We need volunteers to lead or participate in community service projects such as - Hope House food baskets, Thanksgiving/Christmas food baskets, Carnival, improving and/or beautifying the Parrish, etc. If you are interested, call the Parrish office.

Lost and Found. If you have lost keys, telephones, or any other item at the parish, please call the Parish Office and claim the lost object. Thank you.

Bulletin. If you want to contribute or make changes to the weekly bulletin, call or stop by the parish office. Bulletin content submissions (articles and/or announcements) should be directed to the Parish Office (in person, by phone, or via holyangelsokc@outlook.com) by noon on Wednesdays. Submissions are accepted as space permits and are subject to editing. Graphics are welcomed but will only be used if space permits.

  • Catholic Charismatic Renewal meets on Tuesdays at 7 pm (except for the first Tuesday of the month when they have a Charismatic Prayer Assembly) at the church, and on the 2nd and last Monday of the month at the Parish Hall.
  • Families United in Christ meets on the last Saturday of the month at 6:30 pm at the Parish's Hall.
  • The parish youth meets on the 2nd Friday of the month at 6 pm at the church.

Quinceañeras. The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City has established new standards for quinceañeras’ Masses. To celebrate a quinceañeras’ Mass, it is mandatory for the quinceañera to have completed the sacraments of baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation (or be a confirmand). In addition, in our parish, you must be registered as a member of this parish for one year, and the young woman must attend, or be scheduled to attend, the quinceañeras’ retreat.
