Welcome to Holy Angels Catholic Church

We are a welcoming Catholic community called by God to live out the message of Christ in love and service to all people. We offer many ministries in which our parishioners are afforded the opportunity to participate in numerous spiritual as well as social activities rich in Laotian and Hispanic Catholic traditions. These ministries support many of our parishioners on their journey in making their lives as Catholics more meaningful.

Announcements:

Congratulations.  We congratulate all the students who completed our sacramental preparation program and received Confirmation or 1st Holy Communion. Of course, without the help of the catechists and all the other volunteers (choir, ushers, altar servers, etc.) we would not have been able to prepare the more than 325 students to receive these sacraments. We are truly grateful for your tremendous dedication to the ministry of faith formation. Thank you very much!

Seminar. The group Families United in Christ invites you to participate in a seminar with the theme "The Family" which will be presented by Mr. Rolando Benitez on Saturday, 28 May at 7:00 pm. The group Families United in Christ's mission is to continue the development and spiritual growth of couples through Christ. Families United in Christ meets the last Saturday of each month after the 5:30 pm Mass in the Parish Hall.

Summertime Hours. Summer is the least busy period in this parish and is the best time for parish staff to go on retreats, vacation, and/or take time off to take care of other personal matters. For this reason, the parish staff is not always available. That is why we ask you to not wait until the last minute to request letters, certificates, and appointments with the pastor. Call and verify in advance that we will be able to provide the services or help that you want/need. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

RE Enrollment. As stated last weekend, we will be merging with Sacred Heart Church. For this reason, the registrations for our faith formation programs for the 2022-20223 school year are on hold until we finish the coordination process with Sacred Heart Church. We will keep you posted. For more information, please call the parish office.

Parish Closure and Previously Scheduled Events. We want to assure and reiterate that we will honor all previously scheduled events (baptisms, weddings, quinceañeras, etc.); however, we will not be accepting any new commitments beyond October 2022. If you have any questions, please call the Parish Office.

Votive Candles Stand. We modified the votive candle stand with a new offering box.  Please use the new money slot for your offerings.  Thank you.

Altar’s Flowers. If you are interested in donating or decorating the Altar with flowers, please call or email the Parish Office at 405.232.6572 or parish_office@holyangelsokc.org, and they can assist you with available dates.  Dates are on a first come, first serve basis.

Religious Articles.  We have many religious items for sale, including First Communion candles ($15). For more information, call or stop by the Religious Education office at 405.231.1935.

Quinceañeras. We have noticed an increase in the number of people requesting Quinceañera Masses for young women who do not practice the Catholic faith. The quinceañera Mass is a religious event; it is not social. For this reason, this event is reserved for young women who actively practice their faith. For more information, contact the parish office at 405.232.6572.

Weddings. Please get in touch with the priest six months before your wedding date. The date will not be scheduled until after the couples have met with the clergy.

Jobs Box. Find the latest career opportunities in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City in the Jobs Box at archokc.org/jobs-box.

Parish Office American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Entrance. The south entrance to the Parish Office is now handicap-accessible and more convenient for families with strollers.

Rehearsals. Weddings and quinceañeras rehearsals are on Mondays, at the church, at 6 pm, 2 weeks before the event. Please call Mrs. Margarita Hernandez at (405) 942-2633 to coordinate your rehearsal.

Documents. We won’t be accepting over-the-phone local requests for documents (sacramental documentation, permission or recommendation letters, etc.) due to the high number of requested, but still unclaimed, documents. We are sorry for the inconvenience, if any, of this new policy.

Church’s Envelopes. You should have already received June's Church envelopes. Call or stop by the Parish office if you haven't received them.

  • Envelopes returned by the Postal Office are available at the Church’s foyer.
  • If you use the bilingual “Welcome” envelopes that are at the entrance of the church, please write your name and address as you are registered in the parish or your envelope number.

Community Service. We need volunteers to lead or participate in community service projects such as - Hope House food baskets, Thanksgiving/Christmas food baskets, Carnival, improving and/or beautifying the Parrish, etc. If you are interested, call the Parrish office.

Lost and Found. If you have lost keys, telephones, or any other item at the parish, please call the Parish Office and claim the lost object. Thank you.

Bulletin. If you want to contribute or make changes to the weekly bulletin, call or stop by the parish office. Bulletin content submissions (articles and/or announcements) should be directed to the Parish Office (in person, by phone, or via holyangelsokc@outlook.com) by noon on Wednesdays. Submissions are accepted as space permits and are subject to editing. Graphics are welcomed but will only be used if space permits.

Quinceañeras. The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City has established new standards for quinceañeras’ Masses. To celebrate a quinceañeras’ Mass, it is mandatory for the quinceañera to have completed the sacraments of baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation (or be a confirmand). In addition, in our parish, you must be registered as a member of this parish for one year, and the young woman must attend, or be scheduled to attend, the quinceañeras’ retreat.
